About Slagelse Skatepark
In the west Zealand town of Slagelse - near the Viking fortress of Trelleborg - this skatepark serves one of Zealand's most historically significant areas. The park features a bowl, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, and a manual pad. Trelleborg is one of Denmark's circular Viking ring fortresses, a UNESCO World Heritage candidate that speaks to the area's 1,000-year history. The town itself is a working market town with a pleasant center and good train connections to Copenhagen and Odense. Local riders enjoy a well-maintained park, and the community atmosphere is relaxed. The surrounding countryside features the Great Belt coast and rolling farmland. After skating, the Trelleborg Viking fortress is absolutely worth visiting - it's one of the best-preserved Viking sites in Denmark.
