About Skatepark Loučná
Deep in the Jeseníky Mountains, tiny Loučná nad Desnou has a skatepark in one of Czechia's most remote and scenic settings. The park features a mini ramp, ledges, a flat rail, and a quarter pipe. The village sits in the Desná valley, surrounded by mountain forests and meadows, and the nearby Velký Kotel glacial cirque is a geological wonder. The Červenohorské sedlo mountain pass connects the valley to the Šumperk side, and the drive is spectacular. Local riders are very few, but summer tourists and visitors to the nearby Kouty ski resort bring additional skaters. The mountain restaurants serve game meat and mushroom dishes, and the crystal-clear streams provide fresh trout. It's about as off-grid as Czech skateboarding gets.
