About Tamarindo Skatepark
Tamarindo Skatepark is located in Oneida Park (Parque Oneida) in the heart of Tamarindo, one of Costa Rica's most famous Pacific coast surf towns in Guanacaste Province. The park underwent a major $300,000 renovation in October 2019 led by ADI Tamarindo, transforming what had been an abandoned, overgrown facility into an exciting destination for skaters of all levels. The signature feature is a snake run that starts at a shallow 3-foot depth and flows down into a steep 7-to-8-foot deep bowl at the opposite end. The street section includes a quarter pipe, funbox with banks on each side, manual pad, handrail, ledge, and additional bank. The park has lighting for evening sessions. Fair warning: iguanas like to hang out in the shallow end of the bowl, and nearby trees drop pebbles and leaves onto the concrete. Oneida Park is a full community space with a half basketball court, jungle gym, sandbox, AstroTurf areas, benches, and tree-lined walking paths surrounding the skatepark. The Saturday Tamarindo farmers market takes place here too. Open from dawn until dark, free of charge.
