About Skatepark Guachipelin
Skatepark Guachipelín is located inside the Polideportivo Guachipelín, a 1.4-acre municipal sports complex in the San Rafael de Escazú neighborhood, an upscale hillside suburb west of San José. The park's centerpiece is a mini ramp that supports airs, grinds, inverts, and 540s, alongside a mesa ledge, gap section, and additional ramps and rails. The park has been hosting organized competitions since at least 2014, when the PLX Ghost Contest drew local talent including Michael Sandi, who won best trick with a 540 invert on the mini ramp. Reviewers praise the park as having an excellent build quality and a vibrant community, though some note there is limited shade and seating for spectators. The scenic Escazú hillside setting adds to the atmosphere. Free admission, with ample parking available.
