About Veliko Tarnovo Pump
Veliko Tarnovo's pump track and skatepark in the Kolyo Ficheto neighborhood - named after Bulgaria's most famous 19th-century architect - serves this spectacular medieval capital perched on three hills above the Yantra river's horseshoe bends. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Tsarevets Fortress, the medieval capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, crowns the central hill with its reconstructed walls and nightly sound-and-light show. The park draws riders from central Bulgaria. The food is old Bulgarian - traditional cuisine served in the atmospheric mehanas (taverns) clinging to the hillsides above the river gorge.
