About Sveta Gora Park
Veliko Tarnovo's Sveta Gora (Holy Hill) skatepark sits on the historic hill where Bulgaria's medieval patriarchs had their seat - the artistic and literary school here produced some of Bulgaria's most important medieval manuscripts and frescoes. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. The views from Sveta Gora across to Tsarevets and Trapezitsa hills, connected by the ancient city's dramatic topography, are among Bulgaria's most stunning. The park draws riders from the Veliko Tarnovo area. The food is central Bulgarian - grilled meats, banitsa, fresh salads, and the wines from the nearby Suhindol area, one of Bulgaria's historic wine regions.
