About Sliven Skatepark
Sliven's skatepark in the City Garden serves the 'City of the Hundred Voyvods' - named for the rebel leaders (haiduks) who led resistance against Ottoman rule from the Blue Rocks above the city. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Sliven's dramatic setting beneath the Sinite Kamani (Blue Rocks) Nature Park, with its extraordinary rock formations and peregrine falcons, provides a stunning backdrop. The city is also the birthplace of Bulgaria's textile industry. The park draws riders from the Sliven area. The food is sub-Balkan Bulgarian - grilled meats, shopska salad, fresh yogurt, and the fruit from the orchards in the surrounding valleys.
