About Botevgrad Skatepark
Botevgrad's skatepark serves this Sofia-province town named after Hristo Botev, Bulgaria's revolutionary poet-hero who died fighting for liberation from the Ottoman Empire in 1876. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Botevgrad sits in the Botevgrad Valley between the Balkan Mountains and the Sredna Gora range, on the highway connecting Sofia to the Danube. The surrounding countryside of farms and forested mountains is quintessentially Bulgarian. The park draws riders from the Botevgrad area.
