About Douaneplein Skatepark
Douaneplein Skatepark is a concrete park at the Douaneplein in Mechelen, a Renaissance jewel between Brussels and Antwerp. Built in 2013, the park features a bowl, ledges, rails, and quarter pipes. Mechelen was the capital of the Burgundian Netherlands and has one of Belgium's finest old towns. The St. Rumbold's Cathedral tower dominates the skyline. The city is known for its carillon bells and tapestry traditions. After skating you can climb the cathedral tower or visit the Toy Museum. Mechelen's compact center makes everything walkable.
