# Wyoming has more public skateparks per resident than any other state, Skatedex finds

CASPER, Sept. 16, 2026 -- Wyoming has 4.25 public skateparks for every 100,000 residents, ranking No. 1 of 50 states in the 2026 Skateparks per Capita rankings released today by Skatedex, the largest skatepark directory on the web.

The rankings count 25 public, open skateparks in Wyoming against the Census Bureau's latest population estimate of 588,753. That is above the national rate of 0.77 parks per 100,000 residents.

Within the state, the leading cities are Casper (1.7 per 100,000), Cheyenne (1.5 per 100,000).

No neighboring state ranks higher: Montana, the closest, is No. 2 with 3.49 parks per 100,000 residents.
