# Vermont ranks No. 3 in the nation for public skateparks per resident, Skatedex finds

VERMONT, Sept. 16, 2026 -- Vermont has 3.26 public skateparks for every 100,000 residents, ranking No. 3 of 50 states in the 2026 Skateparks per Capita rankings released today by Skatedex, the largest skatepark directory on the web.

The rankings count 21 public, open skateparks in Vermont against the Census Bureau's latest population estimate of 644,663. That is above the national rate of 0.77 parks per 100,000 residents.

No Vermont city of 50,000 or more residents has a public skatepark inside its limits.

No neighboring state ranks higher: New Hampshire, the closest, is No. 7 with 2.05 parks per 100,000 residents.
